In today’s world we constantly hear stories of high blood pressure, heart attacks and other problems related to the cardio-vascular system. Drinking is another way of adding a health risk to your life. The consumption of too much alcohol raises blood pressure and the result is the same as above. In long term it can cause liver damage too. A glass of wine occasionally could be beneficial, a glass of whiskey every day is harmful.
Even if you don’t smoke and don’t drink you should follow a healthy diet and exercise a couple of times a week to stay healthy. A healthy diet doesn’t mean that you have to give up your favorite foods altogether. You can still eat them with moderation, but replace fast foods and snacks with fruit and vegetables. Even if you just walk 30 minutes a couple of times a day can make a big difference. The more you can do today the more you will appreciate it later on in your life. You will also save on medical bills.
